Über mich

I’ve been working with a camera since I was 15, and nearly 25 years later, photography is still at the core of who I am. Today I work across commercial and editorial projects, creating both stills and motion for brands, restaurants, publishers and agencies. My background in both photography and food styling , but also photojournalism allows me to approach every project holistically — from concept and visual direction to the smallest tactile details in the frame. I understand how light, texture, colour and movement work together to create imagery that not only looks beautiful, but communicates clearly and sells with integrity. My style is rooted in Scandinavian aesthetics, but I’m not afraid of colour, personality and warmth. I aim to create images that feel inviting and alive — where you can almost taste the food and sense the atmosphere beyond the frame. I’m structured, efficient and comfortable leading productions, whether it’s a focused studio shoot or a larger commercial set. At the same time, I value collaboration deeply. The best results always come from trust, shared vision and good energy around the table. With decades of experience and a genuine love for what I do, I bring both creative playfulness and professional reliability to every project. I’m always open to meaningful collaborations and new visual stories to tell.

This photograph captures Norwegian black kale in a simple but dramatic way. The close-up view highlights the rich texture of the leaves, while droplets of water bring out their natural details. Using soft, low-key lighting, the image reveals the beauty and character of a seasonal vegetable that is often overlooked.

The Norwegian summer is short, making every basket of sun-ripened strawberries something to cherish. This image celebrates those precious moments—fresh local berries, a homemade tart, and the traces left behind after sharing it with loved ones. Chef and foodstylist Lise Finckenhagen.

Happy colour and happy food shoot for ChrisLovesFood in Norway for his cookbook.

Deep Purple! This image is a close study of Norwegian red cabbage — one of the most humble, and most beautiful ingredients we have here in the north. I’m drawn to what happens when I move closer than we’re used to. Past recognition, past “this is cabbage,” and into something more abstract — texture, light, small droplets holding onto the surface like tiny worlds. Shot for BAMA Storkjøkken, celebrating Norwegian produce at harvest.
